چکیده

As part of an investigation of the radar backscatter properties of axisymmetric conducting shapes, a study has been made of backscattering by a cone-sphere. This body is comprised of a circular cone with a 25° included cone angle, terminated by a tangent spherical segment. Measurements of backscatter cross sections over all aspect angles are presented for wavelengths in the range from one-tenth to twice the radius of the spherical segment. Comparison of measured values with theoretical predictions shows that satisfactory agreement is obtained for all aspect angles. This technical documentary report is approved for distribution. High Resolution Range Profile Identifying Simulation of Laser Radar Based on Pulse Beam Scattering Characteristics of Tar- Gets

This is a presentation of an innovative technique of rigid body estimation for use with laser high-range resolution profile (LHRRP) simulations. The theory of pulse beam scattering from random rough surface is used to build a theoretical model which computes simulations for the laser pulse HRRP of the whole dimension target. As two especial cases, the LHRRP of sphere and cone are simulated in d...

Electromagnetic Scattering from an Anisotropic Uniaxial-coated Conducting Sphere

The scattering fields from an anisotropic uniaxial-coated conducting sphere by a plane wave are derived. The electromagnetic fields in uniaxial anisotropic medium and free space can be expressed in terms of spherical vector wave functions in uniaxial anisotropic media and isotropic medium. Applying the boundary condition in the interface between the uniaxial anisotropic medium and free space, t...

Approximate electromagnetic cloaking of spherical bodies using nonlinear transformation with improved total scattering

Cloaking refers to hiding a body from detection by surrounding it with a coating consisting of an unusual anisotropic nonhomogeneous material. The permittivity and permeability of such a cloak are determined by the coordinate transformation of compressing a hidden body into a point or a line. In this work, the scattering properties of cloaked spherical bodies (conducting and dielectric) are inv...

Waveform Design using Second Order Cone Programming in Radar Systems

Transmit waveform design is one of the most important problems in active sensing and communication systems. This problem, due to the complexity and non-convexity, has been always the main topic of many papers for the decades. However, still an optimal solution which guarantees a global minimum for this multi-variable optimization problem is not found. In this paper, we propose an attracting met...

A Pseudospectral Method for Time-Domain Computation of Electromagnetic Scattering by Bodies of Revolution

We present a multi-domain pseudospectral method for the accurate and efficient time-domain computation of scattering by body-of-revolution (BOR) perfectly electrically conducting objects. In the BOR formulation of the Maxwell equations the azimuthal dependence of the fields is accounted for analytically through a Fourier series. The numerical scheme in the (r, z)-plane is developed in general c...
